Calacatta Monet is a marble that deserves to be admired up close. Its pale ivory background is interwoven with flowing grey lines, subtle beige tones and delicate golden warmth, making every slab and every section of stone unique. Used across the kitchen worktops, generous island and full-height splashback behind the cooker, the marble brings a wonderful sense of continuity to the space. Its honed finish gives the surface a softer, lower-sheen appearance, allowing the natural colours and intricate patterns to look just as beautiful in the soft shadows of the kitchen as they do when sunlight pours through the large bifold doors.

The kitchen’s design brings together traditional details and natural materials in a particularly beautiful way. The wooden island base, with its classic cabinetry and traditional plinth detailing, introduces warmth and texture against the richly patterned marble. A Belfast sink adds to the kitchen’s traditional charm, while the surrounding cabinetry in soft cream creates a calm backdrop for the stone. Above the cooker, a beautifully crafted wooden range hood, painted to match the surrounding walls, blends into the space rather than competing with the marble. On either side of the range hood, 20mm Calacatta Monet marble shelves provide both practical storage and a lovely finishing detail.
