For Elvira, the kitchen is far more than a place to prepare meals. As the founder of The Pregnant Silhouette Cake and a creator followed by almost 90,000 people on Instagram, it is also the space where ideas are developed, designs come to life, and much of her work takes shape. The project needed to function as a professional workspace while still feeling warm, welcoming, and connected to the rest of the home.

To support that vision, Elvira chose Calacatta Gold engineered stone. With its elegant veining and bright surface, the material brings refinement and practicality in equal measure. It provides the durability required for daily baking while creating a backdrop that feels polished and timeless.

For the Mo's StoneX team, the challenge was creating stonework that could support both the visual and functional demands of the space. The kitchen is substantial in scale, with expansive surfaces designed to accommodate everything from everyday family life to professional baking projects.

One of the defining features of the kitchen is the extensive use of Calacatta Gold throughout the room. Beyond the main work surfaces and splashbacks, the stone continues onto bespoke shelving, creating a strong sense of continuity across the design. These additional surfaces provide practical storage for baking equipment and ingredients while reinforcing the visual presence of the material throughout the space.

The generous layout allows the kitchen to function as a true workspace. Large uninterrupted surfaces provide ample room for preparation and presentation, while the bright tones of the stone help reflect natural light throughout the room.
